  • LIZHU Vertical Injection Molding Machine Integrates with Automation for Efficient Precision Plastic Part Production

With precision injection-molded products becoming increasingly smaller, more complex, and highly automated, customers are placing greater emphasis on molding stability, automatic part removal, product arrangement, and continuous production efficiency. Traditional manual part removal and sorting can increase auxiliary operating time and make it difficult to meet the requirements of high-volume continuous production.

In this project, the LIZHU vertical injection molding machine works together with a six-axis robot, dedicated end-of-arm tooling, and automated conveying and sorting equipment. Through automated part removal, product transfer, arrangement, and tray loading, the system effectively connects injection molding with downstream automated operations. The integrated workflow reduces manual intervention while improving production efficiency for small precision plastic components.

Case Details -Solution

1. Vertical Configuration for Convenient Automation Integration

The LIZHU vertical injection molding machine features a configuration suitable for automation integration, allowing the mold working area to effectively coordinate with the robot's operating space. According to production requirements, robotic and auxiliary automation systems can be arranged around the machine to support part removal, transfer, and sorting operations.

2. Multi-Cavity Molding for Higher Production Output

The mold and product arrangement shown in the video indicates a production process designed for multiple parts to be molded within one cycle. Multi-cavity molding increases the number of parts produced per cycle. Combined with automated part removal, it provides an efficient solution for high-volume production.

3. Six-Axis Robot for Automatic Part Removal

After molding is completed, the six-axis robot enters the mold working area and uses dedicated end-of-arm tooling to pick up the molded parts. The robot follows a preset movement path to enter, grip, and exit the mold area, reducing the need for manual part removal and increasing the level of production automation.

4. Dedicated Tooling for Efficient Product Transfer

End-of-arm tooling can be configured according to product dimensions, product arrangement, and mold structure. The dedicated tooling shown in the video is designed to handle multiple products and transfer them from the mold area to the downstream automation station, reducing repetitive manual handling.

5. Automated Sorting for Organized Unloading

After picking up the molded parts, the robot transfers them to the downstream automation station, where positioning, transfer, and sorting mechanisms arrange the products according to the preset layout. Automated sorting reduces manual picking and placement operations and provides an organized product arrangement for subsequent processes.

6. Automated Integration for Continuous Production

The complete system integrates the injection molding machine, six-axis robot, dedicated tooling, and automated conveying and sorting equipment. Injection molding, automatic part removal, product transfer, and tray arrangement are connected into a continuous production workflow. By reducing manual auxiliary operations and improving equipment coordination, the system supports stable and efficient automated production.
